We first impressed each other with our weather knowledge (Justin is a pilot so he knew what a lapse rate was…swoon!) But we really fell in love in the kitchen. Actually it was over butterscotch pudding. On our first ‘make a dinner together’ date I challenged Justin to making the treat which involves finesse and timing in the kitchen to come out perfectly. Add the cornstarch incorrectly; it’s lumpy, burn the sugar; it’s bitter. Well, he nailed it.

We LOVE being in the kitchen together and have a philosophy when it comes to food and wine. There are no hard-core rules! Wine is meant to be shared, enjoyed and not taken too seriously. We are not afraid to try new things when it comes to pairings. The kitchen is where we still bond whether it’s catching up at the end of a Tuesday or sipping with friends on the weekend. Wine, at the end of the day, is just food dude!
